Ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? The North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) and the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC) are looking for driven fraternity men to represent their chapters on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. this April. This is your chance to make your voice heard and fight for the future of fraternity life by meeting directly with lawmakers and their teams!

You should apply if you want to:

  • meet directly with the men and women who serve in Congress
  • advocate for the power of fraternity
  • walk the halls of Congress with student leaders from across the country
  • explore a career in politics and gain hands-on experience working to advance public policy
  • network with national fraternity/sorority leaders and alumni working in D.C.

Each year, Phi Kappa Psi takes part in the FGRC Capitol Hill Visits hosted in Washington, D.C. This experience allows participants to directly engage with lawmakers and their staffs to advocate for policies that support the sorority and fraternity experience. We are looking to sponsor Phi Psi members to attend this incredible opportunity to advocate for Phi Psi and Fraternity + Sorority Life.

The Hill Visit will take place March 31-April 3, 2025. If selected, you will be expected to participate in mandatory virtual trainings in the spring and then in-person training/practice in Washington, D.C. before visiting with elected leaders and their staff.  It is important that you know you will need to miss class to participate in the meetings with lawmakers and should be prepared to plan accordingly with professors.

The Fraternity will cover the cost of travel and lodging for selected students.

Sounds like something you’d want to do? Apply today! Our deadline to apply for the 2025 Capitol Hill Visit is November 20.

About the FGRC

The Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC) is a nonpartisan coalition formed by the North American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), the Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FSPAC), and the Fraternity and Sorority Action Fund (FSAF) to work collaboratively on federal government relations issues that impact the fraternity and sorority community. Each year, the FGRC provides the opportunity for collegiate fraternity and sorority members to directly engage in the federal legislative process by lobbying on issues of importance to our community.
