The brothers of the Alabama Gamma Chapter set up a kickball tournament for community outreach. This event was set up to raise awareness for the nonprofit local organization, 305 8th Street. We had a 40/60 ratio of brothers to non-brothers, making this event a large success for our cause.

We are honored to be the newest colony! Starting at 33 members our first semester gives us great momentum for the future. We cooperated with Hunter’s Pledge Fund for our first philanthropy event.
Florida Alpha – Florida State
Submitted By: Samuel Diaz ’23
The Florida Alpha Chapter is excited that among its successes this semester, we have signed an agreement for a new chapter facility in Tallahassee! We will be moving in the fall, and we are happy it is in a centralized location to different amenities on campus. We can’t wait to welcome back our alumni members and welcome everyone to the house! Reach out to csec@fsuphipsi.org for more info on how you can support us or to hear about future alumni engagement opportunities!
Georgia Beta – Georgia Tech
Submitted By: Josh Bruner ’22
This semester, Georgia Beta held a philanthropic bake sale. After careful deliberation over which organization we should choose, the chapter decided that we would raise money for The Trevor Project, an LGBTQ resource organization involved in legislature and activism. All active brothers participated, along with local alumni. The collective efforts of brothers, both old and new, led to a successful event, with all proceeds being donated directly to The Trevor Project.
Louisiana Alpha – LSU
Submitted By: Rocco DiCarlo ’20
This semester marked our inaugural spring class in chapter history, during which we proudly welcomed 18 new members into our fold. Coupled with our fall recruitment efforts, Spring Rush resulted in the addition of 54 new brothers to our beloved Fraternity this year. We are enthusiastic about carrying forward this momentum into the next academic year. We also had the pleasure of attending the Louisiana Derby for the second consecutive year.
Louisiana Beta – UL Lafayette
Submitted By: Dyland Clark ’20 and Brett Thibodeaux ’22
Louisiana Beta has once again recruited the highest new member class on their campus at UL Lafayette! With a total of six new members, we also once again broke our semester all-time recruitment record for the third semester in a row (five, spring 2023; four, spring 2024). This is the largest new member class for spring recruitment since getting rechartered.
Mississippi Alpha – Ole Miss
Submitted By: Tom Mariano ’21
The brothers of Mississippi Alpha have had a busy spring. We started our semester by collecting hats, scarves and mittens for the community. We passed these out while we served meals to the people at Oxford’s More Than a Meal program. In March, we continued with our main philanthropy event, Phi Psi Final Four. This 3-on-3 basketball tournament helped us raise $4,500 for the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi. In addition to these programs, we also hosted a clean-up day at the Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi, volunteered at and collected supplies for the local animal shelter, and sponsored the Lafayette County Literacy Council’s event — Reads, Beats & Eats — so they could provide Dolly Parton Imagination Library books for the children in the city of Oxford and Lafayette County.
Tennessee Epsilon – Tennessee
Submitted By: Dylan Conyers ’21
This semester the Tennessee Epsilon Chapter was proud to initiate 12 new members to bring its chapter total to a new high of 75. The chapter is looking forward to fall recruitment when it hopes to exceed 100 members for the first time in chapter history!
University of Kentucky Colony
Submitted By: Austin Coudeyras
After a disheartening fall recruitment, we bounced back spring semester and got five new members, bringing our total to 17. We’ve found that at our size, bringing in friends of friends tends to work better than formal recruitment. Going into the fall, we’re working on a recruitment plan that spreads our resources across both formal and continuous recruitment.
Vanderbilt University Colony

In the spring of 2024, the brothers of Vanderbilt University Colony accepted 23 new brothers, pushing our total to 55 members. This semester our philanthropy drive has been very successful as we raised $3,500 for Tennessee Resettlement Aid. Our brothers have been dedicated to helping them by volunteering every Sunday to deliver supplies to those in need. We have developed a close bond with the organization, and we hosted the founder, Katie Finn, to discuss the importance of our work. At our Fraternity house, we hosted the first Phi Psi Pickleball Tournament with 32 teams that helped us raise $640 for Resettlement Aid. In addition to the tournament, we hosted a tricycle race, dubbed the Phi Psi 500, that had 10 participants and over 70 spectators helping us raise $600. We had a wonderful time at the Tennessee Delta’s Founders Day, hosted in Nashville, as we learned about the chapter’s history and connected with alumni.
Virginia Alpha – Virginia
Submitted By: Noah Altamar ’23
In March, the chapter ran two successful philanthropy efforts for the UVA Children’s Hospital, including a charity bracket challenge coinciding with March Madness and a fundraising effort over Easter weekend. We had over 200 entries for the bracket challenge and roughly 1,000 people attended the Easter event with full participation from brothers at both events. We’ve also initiated 16 new brothers in our 2024 new member class, and we are excited for the future as they continue to grow together and carry forward the chapter.
Virginia Beta – W & L
Submitted By: Ben Wechsler ’22
The Virginia Beta chapter had a spring formal event in Charlottesville. Attended by established brothers and new inductees to the chapter, the event aimed to deepen the connections within our Fraternity. Through this event, the brothers spent valuable time together, which strengthened the bond between the brothers and new members and contributed to a growing sense of brotherhood within our chapter. The outcome was highly positive, as it fostered a greater sense of unity and camaraderie among all attendees.
