Our brothers have actively engaged in service projects, partnering with campus organizations and local community groups. Projects included organizing food drives, volunteering at shelters, and participating in campus beautification initiatives. These projects not only reinforce our values but also position Phi Kappa Psi as a Fraternity dedicated to service and making a tangible impact. Our colony is making strides toward building an empire from nothing. All our brothers continue to sacrifice their time to help the Fraternity. We look forward to the opportunities to help the community, grow brotherhood, and raise the bar of Greek life at Clemson University.

We had a glorious fall 2024 semester, with heavy emphasis on philanthropy, service to the community, and fostering the development of brotherhood. Our first philanthropy event took place early in September. Selling delicious cookies (10% love by weight) helped us to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a charity that helps fund childhood cancer research. We hosted regular s’mores nights and had frequent mental health check-ins led by our chaplain. Brothers tackled the challenge of No Shave November, with a bake sale in support of the prostate cancer research organization. We have truly experienced the great joy of serving others.

This past fall our chapter recruited and initiated 29 new outstanding young men. We have plans to bring on a spring Rush class to help this chapter flourish. We stay involved in the community by volunteering monthly with Keeping Tiger Town Clean. The chapter helped raise $5,000 for men’s mental health by hosting a car wash at our recently purchased property. The chapter plans to return to campus in 2025 and will own both the on- and off-campus properties. Collin Maradik ’24 won Phi Mu’s most philanthropic award.

This fall was a season of growth for Mississippi Alpha. On Oct. 12, 2024, we welcomed 86 new members into our Brotherhood. They bring diverse talents and energy, promising an exciting future for our chapter. Just days before, we came together in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. We hosted an Hourathon from 6-7 p.m. During this event, our brothers reached out to family, friends, and alumni, raising funds to support hurricane relief efforts. The generosity of our extended community was overwhelming, and in just one hour, we raised $33,141.40. These funds will aid the families of brothers affected by the storm.

We are deeply grateful, honored, and excited to officially regain our charter. We recognize the profound significance of this milestone and will cherish its importance for years to come. On campus, we have maintained our commitment to philanthropy by volunteering at the local addiction and drug abuse center, striving to make a positive impact in our community. The restoration of our charter has strengthened our bonds, fostering increased engagement and significantly enhancing the chapter’s culture. Virginia Commonwealth University Colony

Fall semester we created our colony with 27 great guys. We participated in three philanthropy events, winning all of them. We are planning to keep this momentum going and continue being large contributors to many philanthropic and local events. Because we just started, we have set our next semester recruitment goal at seven members. We have had many of our brothers working actively to better themselves, a prime example being Daniel Gharavi, one of our pre-med brothers, who has just published his first paper on Neuroscience.

Brothers also had the chance to engage with the Boys & Girls Club of Harrisonburg Halloween Fest. Lastly, we are excited to announce that Virginia Theta placed in the top three in highest GPAs on campus out of 21 fraternity organizations this past year!
