‘Tis The Season

Chapters get in the spirit to give back in their communities

As a member of Phi Kappa Psi, you are taught to embrace and execute “The Great Joy of Serving Others” in your daily life. Little by little, the Fraternity can make positive impacts in the world, starting in local communities.

As another holiday season kicks off, it is especially important to give back to others, spread good cheer and express gratitude. For students, this is often one of the busiest times of the year academically and socially as well.

As a Phi Kappa Psi member, you took an oath to be a strong man of character, and to incorporate service work into your ongoing balancing act of school, chapter responsibilities, work and social activities.

Here are a few examples of chapters embracing community service. Keep up the good work and check back frequently for additions and updates. To share your chapter’s experience, please contact Marketing Communications Manager Mary Welch at maw@phikappapsi.com.

The act of participating in philanthropy work is the process of identifying and addressing the root cause of the problems affecting a community. While philanthropy is sometimes referred to as an event that helps raise money for a charity, the foundational concept of philanthropy is about much more than that. Our philosophy is that the greatest philanthropic impact occurs when members engage in three distinct forms of philanthropy simultaneously: Community Service, Fundraising,  and Advocacy.
